Assessing the Capacity of Community Coalitions to Advocate for Change (Presentation Handout) Research has shown that high-capacity coalitions are more successful in effecting community change. While a number of coalition assessment tools have been developed, documentation is scarce regarding how they are implemented, how the results are used, and whether they are predictive of coalition success in collaborative community change efforts.

Clinic Consortia: Policy and Advocacy Program Evaluation Many community health centers in California have formed regional consortia and statewide organizations. The California Endowment funded 19 such consortia to strengthen their capacity to support community clinic management, leadership development, policy, and systems integration needs. This paper describes the evaluation results of the program for the years 2001-2003. The evaluation was conducted by the Institute for Health Policy Studies at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
